Addie's Garden Party!

I am turning Three!
So come and celebrate with me!

We’ll plant a flower or two!
So bring your green thumbs too!

We’ll have some sweets and snacks!
It will be very laid-back!

Well....first of all let me say that I was too busy having fun at Addie's party to get any good pics....so these pics are not the best but here goes nothing!

Worm and dirt cupcakes.....They were super sweet but yummy!
The kids decorated their own garden pot with their names or flowers or butterflies or whatever they fancied.

Lisa and Addison (Addie). As you can tell....it is tough getting Addie to smile for a picture! Ha!

Then after they decorated their pot they planted some flowers to take home! You can't tell from the picture above but the kids really had a good time decorating their own flower pot!

In the goody bags the kids got a few garden themed things including a little wind chime and a watering can so they could water their flowers!

After the flower pots were decorated, everyone (the kids) pretty much played with every single toy in our house! I love how the girls got the princess shoes out. This is Addie walking away from the camera (too busy to pose for a picture) in her Cinderella shoes! Too cute.

McKenzie in the Snow White shoes! McKenzie is one of Addie's good friends at school. Love the jewelry Kenz!

Cole is a one man mariachi band!

We were so fortunate to have so many friends and family come to celebrate Addie's birthday! It made the day so memorable and special for both of us!

Angie and Taryn!

Addie and Addie (now smiling..yay!)

Madison, Addie and McKenna

The Three Musketeers! Emma, Addie and Kenz! These three get into a lot of trouble at school!

It is too bad Krista couldn't relax........

Chase!
Toni and Paige enjoying a dirt cupcake and a some juice!

YaYa and Addie!

Addie is really getting into the princess stories and outfits! I have tried to modernize the stories a bit....instead of just saying "happily ever after" I usually say "after (insert princess name here) graduates from college and gets her degree she comes back and marries her prince"! I mean let's face it.....happily ever after IS possible...but it takes a lot of work and there is nothing wrong with being independent either! Ha!

Addie got a jumpy house for her birthday and it was a hit at the party! Here is Taryn showing off her pretty smile!

The jumpy house was a little wild.....but fun!

These next few pictures show the progression of Addie's room going from clean......to not so clean! This is what too much sugar can do to a couple of three year olds!

I love Addie's hair in this picture! This picture was taken near the end of the party and Addie was obviously exhausted! The hair shows it all!

Addie with her cousin Rebekah! They drove over 2 hours to come to the party! Thank you soo much!

Some of my family on my dad's side! Mom, Dad, Grandmama, Susan, Addie, Me, Philip, Rebekah and April!

Well besides the fact that I forgot to hand out icecream (and ended up having 48 individual cups of Blue Bell in my freezer after everyone left) the party was Wild and Wonderful! A Huge Success!

We Love the Beach!

Well..once again I am late in making a blog post about a trip Addie and I took but....better late than never right!
Addie and I went to the beach with my good friend Kathryn and her husband Chris and their son Cole..or as Addie says it "Cold". We had so much fun and the kids had a blast. The weather was chilly and a little rainy (we went in April) but it was still fun to be at the beach!

Addie and Cole make such a cute pair!

We had a day and a half of sunny..but cool..weather! The other days it was overcast and rainy...we still went on the beach though!

This was Cole's first trip to the beach...you would never know though! He was an expert with the shovel! He loved it! Kathryn and I would hold on to the kid's hands while they jumped the waves. They never wanted to stop. Finally they were shivering from being cold and we had to make them go in to get a warm bath. No fear....

No fear of getting dirty either....I love it!

Making circles!

What a cutie!

Time for a snooze....Addie didn't mind!

As you can tell...we pretty much had the beach to ourselves! It was wonderful! You can see our umbrella is the only one on the beach!

This was Addie at dinner.....the only thing that brought her out of her slumber was "Addie..you want a juice box?". She perked right up! She loves juice boxes!

Addie making the cheesy smile!

One last look at the beach before we had to go....Beach trips always go by soo fast! Goodbye Beach..we'll be back soon!

Opening Day for the Braves!

This post is a little dated but I wanted to post it anyway! Addie and I were able to go to the Opening Day Braves Game in April! We had sooo much fun. I wasn't really sure how Addie would do but the atmosphere of the game, people cheering(yelling) and people watching kept her entertained the whole time. We planned on staying until the middle of the game because it was a "school night"...but we were having so much fun we stayed well into the 7th inning!
Addie clapped..cheered...yelled...and most importantly....was an Ace at the Tomahawk Chop! Here is a little video of Addie demonstrating the proper way to do "The Chop"!

The tickets we were given included entrance to the 755 club. This was wonderful with a 2 year old because we were able to sit at a table....and lounge....and really spread out! We were still outside but we had shade the whole time.

Take Me out to the ball game....Take me out to the crowd...buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks...and french fries...and cookies...and fried chicken sticks....and juice boxes and potato chips! What fun would a baseball game be without junk food! Mmm!

Yes...I am aware she looks a little "tomboyish" in this picture....but we were scraping for an outfit that would be comfortable, warm (in case it was cool), cool (in case it was warm) and cute at the same time...well...at least she was comfortable! Ha! 1 out of 4 ain't bad.....

It is amazing how much you learn about your child when you really pay close attention to what they do...what they say....and how they react to fun things...like a baseball game! What better way to do this....than one on one time!

I LOVE spending time with Addie..just the two of us! There is just something about the two of us hanging out that can't be compared to any other time...with any other person! One on One time with Addie has created more wonderful memories than I could have ever imagined! I can't wait for more fun times with you Sweet Pea! (Yes...even when you are 40 years old I will still be calling you Sweet Pea!)

Governor's Mansion Easter Egg Hunt!

Addie and I had a fabulous time at the 2010 Governor's Mansion Easter Egg Hunt! We got there early and left late and Addie was still saying "I don't ever want to leave"! She had a blast. When we first got there is was a little cooler than everyone had expected. Luckily I brought our coats..it was around 50 degrees!
.

Even though it was an Easter Egg "hunt" it was really more like an Easter Egg "pick up". The eggs were scattered on the lawn and easy to find which was great for Addie's age! The kids 5 and under got to go first and then the bigger kids came shortly...and quickly after! Everyone was allowed 5-6 eggs! In this picture above Addie is eagerly waiting for the buzzer to sound so she can get her eggs!
.

We saw cutie pie Blair when we were there! We couldn't get the two to pose for a picture....maybe next year!
.

It was so cute watching how excited Addie would get when she found an egg......
.

Addie was so proud of her 4 eggs! She immediately wanted to eat the chocolate inside...Tootsie Rolls!
.

Addie was on the prowl for her 5th egg in this picture.....
.

It turned out to be a gorgeous day and the coats quickly came off when the sun came out! Everyone was then able to show off their cute Easter dresses!
.

Addie loved the Easter Bunny! We had to tear her away from him to give the other kids a chance. She kept running back to give him hugs or high fives or high tens! It was really cute!
.

Then the food began....and man did Addie make a dent in the food. First it was the little cups of popcorn.
.

As we waited in line to decorate our cupcake Addie is finishing up her second cup of popcorn....
.

The finished cupcake product...Mmm...it was so good!
.

Oh wait....is that a cookie in your hand.....why yes...it is!
.

Then another of Addie's favorite things...getting her face painted! Of course she wanted to be a ....bunny!

.

After we let the food (AKA--candy) settle we went back for a second round in the jumpy castle....another one of Addie's favorites!

We were one of the last cars to leave! Addie and I both had a fabulous time. As you can see in the picture we had to get one last cup of popcorn before we left (in the left of the picture) and Addie was soo exhausted. She fell asleep in the car before we even got to the interstate! Although the candy high kicked back in when we got home. She normally is in bed at 7:30 every night....well she didn't fall asleep until almost 9:30....Sugar High! We love eating junk food on days like today!

Sponge!

This is proof that our children are little sponges! She is learning so much at school! I am so proud of my little 2 year old! This is not the best quality video but it is soo cute!
