Happy Birthday Granddad!

We went to see Granddad and YaYa this weekend for Granddad's Birthday!

Addie and Granddad on the treadmill.....she really liked it. It was on the slowest speed and she still had to run to keep up with it. Cute little legs!

Blurry picture but cute. I asked her to wave to the camera and after I said it I was hoping she was coordinated enough to wave and walk at the same time....She was! So smart!
We made pipe cleaner bird feeders to hang on the trees outside. Great dexterity exercise...and fun to eat too!

The finished product!
Addie and Granddad played basketball on the porch. Addie is really getting into throwing things.....not just basketballs either. She likes to throw everything...I mean everything. We are working on that though...

Playing in the rain!

Getting ready for the Easter Bunny and Tallulah gets a spring cut!

We are so happy to be getting some pretty days around here. We spend soo much time outside lately because I am too familiar with the HOT days that are quickly ahead of us! We are getting ready for Easter too. Addie has easily learned the word "Easter Bunny". She says "Hello Bunny" and "Bye Bunny" when we leave the house or get home! Too cute.

Looking back at some pictures from last Easter 2008. It is so hard to believe how quickly children grow up. It makes me sad to know that she is growing up so fast. At the same time I am so happy to be able to watch her grow and be there with her every day. I would never in a million years have guessed I would LOVE being a mom this much. It is better than anything in the world. I can't begin to explain how unique this experience is to anything else I have ever felt or done in my life! I love you sweet Adeline!

And last but certainly not least.....Tallulah gets a summer haircut complements of me....yes...I am too cheap to take her to Petsmart so I do it at home. I save and poor Tallulah suffers. She really is a lot cooler after the cut and I have a lot less hair in my house so ultimately...everyone is happy! Not necessarily pretty...but happy! Ha!

Ah Tallulah....we are not quite done yet......

Nope....still not done......

Well after about an hour of chasing, tail holding and practically sitting on Tallulah (just kidding..she was actually pretty good) we ended up with this. Don't worry...I won't be quitting my day job to start grooming dogs but she looked ok! Happy Spring Tallulah!

Time to plant!

Addie and I planted some flowers and she had a ball! She really enjoyed moving the potting soil from the bag to the pot...or the ground....or to her pockets! We had potting soil everywhere! Oh well...that is part of the fun right. She especially loved to throw it in the air. I quickly tried to explain why throwing the soil is not the best idea! I'm sure we'll have this discussion again with sand at the beach!

Look at the cute ponytail! Finally i am able to get her hair in a ponytail.

I found some bulbs in the garage so we planted those too. I am not sure if they survived the winter but we'll see. Addie loved watering the bulbs after we planted them.

Don't you love the mud puddle....

Pull those pants up girl......

The finished products...sunflowers,zinnias and sweet basil! Wish us luck!

Espresso for Addie!

Well not really espresso but we are using the espresso cups. I have found that these are the PERFECT size for Addie's little hands when trying to transition from a sippy cup to a cup with no lid. She can hold the handle and she feels like a big girl! Even though I only put water in the espresso cup she still calls it her coffee. She loves copying me in the mornings when I am drinking my coffee! Too cute!

She finally likes spaghetti

Until last night Addie has not liked any food with red sauce. My family LOVES Italian food so when Addie turned her nose up at homemade marinara sauce.....I wasn't sure she was my child! Well last night I told her we were having spaghetti and I didn't make a big fuss about it. I put it down in front of her and she devoured it.
Yeah! She even asked for more.

She was trying to smile with a mouthful of spaghetti in this picture! Such a genteel lady!
