Happy 10 Year Reunion!

It is really hard to believe it has been ten years since we graduated from the College of Charleston! Wow....I feel old. Actually.....I don't really feel older mentally....but physically I know I am older! Now I just have more bills, more responsibility and I am no longer able to stay up until 4am and get up the next day to go to an 8am class. OK.....I usually skipped the 8am class...let's get real! Mom and dad if you are reading this.....Let's just be happy I graduated....Let's not focus on the skipping of classes!! Of course life is a new kind of wonderful now! I have my sweet Addie and my wonderful friends and family! Life is Good! No, Great actually!

Amy, Kat, Ginny and me!
Friday night we threw a surprise bachelorette, engagement and wedding party for Kat! Yes...she got engaged and married in about a week so we had no choice but to throw her a party for the engagement and wedding in one! Kat and Jon dated for a long time and we all knew wedding bells would be heard soon...we just didn't know soo soon! Jon is currently in Iraq and will be back in about 5 months. Don't worry...this will be one of many celebrations to come! Needless to say Kat was very surprised by the celebration....which was the reaction we were hoping for from her!
Immediately when Kat came through the door we adorned her with gifts that she won't be able to use in public! Well....she can use the "Just Married" flip flops we gave her!

As Sandra Lee from the Food Network would say "What a fabulous tablescape!"
I love you girls! Can't wait to see you all again!

Learning Process!

We are learning our ABC's and counting! Addie was pretty distracted with the ABC's in this video and it is pretty funny how she hums her way to P. She can actually count to ten but my camera ran out of memory at 5! Her voice is just too cute.

Happy Easter!

Caution...Picture overload!
Addie and I had a wonderful weekend with friends and family.

Addie is eagerly waiting to go in the house to see if the Easter Bunny visited while we were at church!
Addie following the Easter Bunny paw prints....where do they go???

They went straight to her Easter Basket!

Addie was in chocolate heaven!

After we had some time at home with the Easter basket we headed over to Aunt Winnie and Uncle Rod's house to spend the afternoon with the family. Auntie, Grandmamma, YaYa and Granddad were all there too!
Addie and Granddad doing an Easter Egg Hunt! Of course YaYa put chocolate in all of the eggs so that made it much more exciting...and messy!

Addie's favorite Easter present...she wore them for the longest time!
Thanks for the adorable cake YaYa! It was yummy!
The Saturday before Easter we got to see Uncle Dwayne who was visiting from Texas! Addie and Dwayne got a long great...probably because Dwayne is silly like Addie!

Saturday morning we made Easter cookies with sprinkles. Addie piled the sprinkles on too...

These totally look a 2 year old made them but they still tasted good!

Boo Boos Happen

Addie has her first real boo boo. I received a call from her daycare this past Tuesday and they stated that Addie's finger was accidentally closed in a door. Her teacher opened the door to her classroom and was talking to someone outside of the classroom and did not realize Addie had walked behind the door. When the door closed Addie's finger was pinched in the door. At first we thought it was just a bad pinch but then it started to swell. Of course I had not driven to work on Tuesday (carpool) and thank goodness one of my friends was able to drive me back to my car (30 minute drive---Thank you SOO much Tara). When I went to pick up Addie I could hear her talking to the daycare director in the main office and she seemed perfectly fine. I rounded the corner and Addie saw me and she immediately went into sad mode saying "Momma...Boo Boo". Poor thing. Her finger was very swollen and had a lot of blood pockets under the skin. (Sorry..I don't know the medical term). I took Addie to Children's Hospital where she had three X-rays which showed a fractured middle finger.

As you can see....the finger brace and Ace bandage do not slow Addie down! She seems to feel fine...thank goodness!

She should have the brace and bandage off in a week.

We have a new display of stickers and band aids on the Ace bandage every day. I think she left the house this morning with 5 band aids covering the ace bandage.

She is very proud of her "boo boo" and wants to show everyone.

Time To Dye Easter Eggs!

Addie and I dyed Easter Eggs Sunday afternoon. I just knew the little bowls of dye would be poured all over my floor by the end of this but thank goodness they stayed upright! Barely!

Addie loved dropping the eggs into the little bowls. Of course the eggs were dropped, not placed, in the bows which would splatter dye all over the place. That was part of the fun though.

I thought the dye was never going to come off her hands but one good bath and it was all gone!

She is soo proud!

A short little video of Addie! Such a sweet little voice!

This is Addie getting an egg out of the dye. If you look closely at this picture you can see pink dye all over her face and shirt...and highchair....and highchair straps. The dye eventually came off of her face but the highchair is forever pink I think! Oh well...at least it is pink...our favorite color!
The finished product. Who knew that brown organic eggs would dye so pretty! Addie wanted to put all the eggs in the pink dye bowl but was happy with the other colors too!

A really cool shirt!

One of my friends introduced me to these wonderful and reasonably priced personalized shirts! Addie was really excited to put her "bunny shirt" on this morning! I purchased the shirt from Smitten and Company! Can't wait to use them again! I haven't washed it yet but I am sure it will hold up. As you can see Addie really liked it! The first thing she said to her daycare teacher this morning was "See Easter Bunny" and she pointed to her shirt!
