Birthday Party Fun!

Today we went to a birthday party for Paige Bella! She turned one and it was so cute seeing the kids playing together. The kids actually played pretty well which was surprising! Thank goodness for daycare....otherwise Addie would not have had much experience with the whole sharing thing.

This is Madison, Addie and Mckenna. This was as good as we got as far as a group picture with all the kids. As soon as they all got together then we would realize that no one was holding a camera. By the time we got the camera we had lost one or more of the kids! Very mobile this group.....

At first Paige was not so sure about the "smash" cake that she had all to herself....

Then she actually tasted the icing and LOVED it....then she was in a sugar coma! The bib was no match for the cake....the cake one! The outfit had to be changed!

A Visit from friends!

This past weekend my two best friends from college came into town, Amy and Ginny. (or we call them Amos and Guinea (Ginny is not a fan of her name but it has stuck since college...sorry Guinea)) As you can see Addie had a great time too! The more direct attention Addie gets the happier she seems to be! She is not spoiled....at all! HA!! I always say that she is spoiled but not spoiled rotten. There is a big difference!

We just hung out at home and played with Addie. I think Amy enjoyed the blocks most of all! "Ah Amy.....you are supposed to be playing blocks with Addie....."

Of course Tallulah was right in the middle of everyone! She loves having visitors too!

Happy New Years from Charleston SC!

Charleston Beach House!

I was so fortunate to be able to go to Charleston again for New Years this year. A few years ago my college buddies and I started a tradition to spend time together at the beach for New Years. Over the years the trip has evolved and we were fortunate enough to have spouses join us this year too! Over the next few years the trip will probably(hopefully) evolve even further and we'll hear the pitter patter of little feet at the house as well! The more the merrier I say. This year we really just "hung out" though. I parked my car at the house on Wednesday December 31st and I did NOT MOVE my car until I left the beach house on Saturday January 3rd! It was wonderful!

Looking at the pictures I took I realized how different our New Years celebrations have become since we were in college!

.Puzzles were definitely NOT part of New Years celebration when I was in college but they are now! Ha!

I don't think we used to play "Taboo" on New Years either....Ha!

Most of the gang is in this picture! We had a great relaxing trip and hopefully we'll get to do it again next year. With lives changing and evolving and getting busier and busier I hope everyone can take time to just relax and enjoy time with friends. That is what life is all about! Time to visit with Friends!

On our way back home on Sunday we stopped at a friend's house and Addie had a short play date with Michael! Michael is my friend Jessica's son. Jessica and I have been friends since we were three I think! It was neat to see our kids playing together. They played really well together and we only had a few "sharing" issues! It is all part of growing up I guess!

Of course once the candy gumdrops were handed out they were all smiles!
