The Farm

Addie and I were so happy when Kat Kat, Chris and Cole invited us to The Farm this past October. Kat's mom and dad were nice enough to let us come stay the weekend! They live on 300 gorgeous acres in Greensboro GA. A few years ago they decided to start using the land for various things other than...just land. They have goats, chickens, a rooster, a donkey, rattle snakes, coyotes.....
Cole and Addie had a blast fishing. They basically saw who could make the biggest splash by raising your fishing pole as high as it would go and then crashing it into the water! Needless to say Chris, who was fishing right next to them, did not actually catch anything because these two had done a fabulous job of scaring all of the fish away!
Then they started this silly thing of belly touching...Uh Oh..should we be worried? They lauged so hard they fell down. They were laughing so hard that it made Kathryn and I start laughing at them.

We had a big crew at the house! Addie and Cole of course with Chris and Kat Kat. Then you have me in the back and Jennie and her husband Frank! Jennie, Kathryn and I have known each other a loong time. I have known Jennie since I was a little girl. We went to school together from Kindergarten all the way through High School! We were able to reiminisce a little bit but it is soo hard to actually carry on a converation while trying to keep up with Addie. I think we started and stopped the same conversation about 8 times and I am still not sure if we ever actually finished it....

Bee Bee took Addie and Cole for a canoe ride around the lake! Addie loved it and pointed out everything to Bee Bee along the way!

Somehow these two got chocolate....I can't really remember how that happened but they weren't really good at hiding it from me....
We went on a lot of golf cart adventures to see the goats and just make believe adventures. I think we went on a safari ride, on a space ship, on a cruise...and our last adventure was pretending to go through the drive through at Chik Fil A in our golf cart. Of course we forgot to get napkins at the window so we had to do a Uturn and go through the drive through line again.....
Before we left on Sunday Bee Bee hooked up the wagon to the golf cart and we went on a little hayride. We are ALL still wearing our PJs! Of course this was AFTER a cup of coffee...I have to have my coffee...

One last trip to see their cute new donkey! We decided this has to be a yearly trip to the farm if Bee Bee will have us. It was sooo much fun.

2nd Haircut!

This was actually done in October but...once again I am still playing catch up on our scrap books posts here! Addie went for her second haircut. Her first one was last October. I think I need to probably get them done a little bit more regularly than once a year...considering they needed to cut off 4 inches...and when she left she still looked like she needed more cut off!

This was after the haircut...I don't think she even realized they just cut her hair. She just sat there...stunned...and stared at the movie playing on the TV..Madagascar!
The picture below is not a very good one but they put a "princess braid" around the front of her face...she loved it and was really sad when we had to take it out that night to wash her hair. I am the worlds worst braider...but I try.

Aunt Ginny and Aunt Amos came for the weekend and we had a great time! Addie of course loves all the attention they give her!

What is a weekend at our house without painting time...and I just noticed the two glasses of wine on the table! Oh well...we were home for the night!

These were supposed to be the painted stained glass....except by the time Addie got through with it..not only could the sun light not get through it but I could not even tell what it was supposed to be! Oh well..she had fun!

And last but not least....the picture below is a picture of Addie's brand new Stride Rite Shoes after she wore them ONE day at school. Yes.....you read correctly...this was one day....no 8 hours of wear time and look at the destruction. I think it is safe to say that I have a little tomboy on my hands! I walked up to the playground to pick Addie up from school and my eyes immediately went to her shoes. Wow!
