Pumpkins and Patches!

We had a great fall weekend! On Saturday we met up with Kat Kat, Cole and Chris at the Pumpkin Patch! Aunt Winnie was able to come too!

They waited patiently for the hayride to take us to the patch!

They play so well together that it makes these outings extra fun. I sometimes forget that Cole is about a year younger than Addie because he keeps up really well! They ran..and fell...and got a little dirty...and had a lot of fun!

Aunt Winnie, Addie and me!

It was hard to get them to sit for a picture...they just wanted to run...run..run!
The farm added pony rides, or horse rides, this year. As one of my previous posts shows....Addie LOVES the pony rides. She has no fear. Cole went on his first horse ride and loved it!

Then it was time for face painting. I love this picture of Cole..he looks so scared....Like he is not 100% sure this whole face painting thing is ok......until he gets to see the finished product.....
Now he loves it and is all smiles!! Too cute!
These guys will be friends forever.......

On Sunday Addie and I went on a little roadtrip and visited Cagles Dairy Farm! When we pulled into the parking lot Addie said "we've been here before with Aunt Winnie". I couldn't believe she remembered that. Addie and I went last year, last October, and in fact it was with Aunt Winnie. I was amazed that she could remember something from a year ago..I guess that means she liked it!

We went on the tour of the farm. They had a barn full of calfs that were only a week old. They were so cute and extremely soft. We got to feed them corn husks. We learned that a calf is born with only its bottom teeth so they really can't bite you. Once again...no fear. Addie had about half her arm in the cow's mouth and she just said "it tickles". Ha...Thank goodness for antibacterial soap!

Addie REALLY remembered the jumpy pillow from last year! We stayed at the farm for about 4 hours. We got there when they opened at 10am and left just before 2. I had no idea we would be there that long but luckily I brought some snacks. We took a break from the jumpy pillow and raised the tailgate on the car! We dined on raisens, cheerios and juice boxes while we picked out shapes in the clouds! We both agreed it was a great "cloud imagination" day! Then...back to the jumpy pillow for a few final jumps before we headed home!

The picture above is Addie after she has been jumping for about an hour...her hair is just a bit disheveled...

Addie took this picture of me...I was so impressed....It is centered and everything...beginner's luck....

Then we headed home and spent the rest of the afternoon messing up the house by doing arts and crafts.....painting our pumpkins.......painting the patio furniture....
Once again...we had a great time! I love spending time with my Addie!

Stable Party!

Addie was invited to her friend Addie's 4th birthday party. Needless to say with two Addies at one party and one of the Addies being the birthday girl there was a little confusion whenever anyone said "Addie"....but pretty funny! As you can see the party was at a stable and my Addie LOVED riding the horse.
She asked this lady about 300 questions while they strolled and she patiently answered every one of them.
Addie has no fear whatsoever. This is good and bad. Good because she will pretty much try anything but bad because...she will pretty much try anything! She is going to be just like her mom in that respect. When I was in my teen years I remember one weekend I didn't have anything to do. So..I called one of my friends up and said "Hey..what are you doing today?" She replied "nothing". I said "great...let's go skydiving then!" Sure.....why not! It was a blast! I can't remember if I told my parents I was doing this before or after I did it. I want to say I left the house that morning and mom said "hey..what are you doing today" and I said "Oh..just hanging out with Jessica". Then I got home that night and showed her the pictures! Mom, you might remember those details better than I do.....Don't they say it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission.....
As you can see...My Addie has the second best seat in the house next to the cake..smart girl!

Ice cream...Mmmm!

Addie made a really cute cowgirl picture frame!
